Three Southport restaurateurs are taking on a marathon golf challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support
Taking part in the challenge are Chris Wilson, owner of the Office Bar & Restaurant on Hoghton Street; Rob Smallman, who runs La Tabella in Churchtown; and Paul Lang who now runs Langs on Longton.
Paul’s son Josh is also participating in the challenge, which will take place at the Old Links course on June 19.
The event will see the group play 72 consecutive holes of golf, clocking up some 20 miles over a period of more than 14 hours.
It is known as the Peter Wilson Golf Day, which is in its second year after being set up in 2016 in memory of Chris’s dad who died from a rare form of cancer.
